One morning in the summer of 1996 Kimmie Rhodes walked into her writing room and sat down at her desk intending to write an autobiographical song called “Small Town Girl”. Three weeks later, she completed the script to a play and new seventeen songs. This soundtrack collection is a musical journey begun many years ago with Joe Gracey. Recently, with the help of Gabe Rhodes, Kimmie Rhodes finished recording the last of the tracks in her Austin home studio, Sunbird Music.
